Colorado Open House!!

The weekend after we got back from our honeymoon we had our open house out in Colorado.  We headed out there Thursday night after Mike got off work.  That day was my birthday so I went to lunch with my mom and sisters at Olive Garden which was so fun and then Mike got me new scriptures with my new name on them. I love them! It was a very good birthday.  Anyway, so we headed out to Colorado on Thursday and didn't get in until late so we just went to bed.  Friday we woke up and went and helped his mom and Madison set up the church for the open house.  Lorna put tons of work into the open house and it ended up looking awesome! She did a great job.  After we were done setting up we went over to the hotel that my family was staying at and hung out with them while they were swimming for awhile and then we went to dinner at the Colorado Pub.  It was really good but everyone was so tired after that we all just went home and went to bed.

Saturday we just hung around for awhile and my dad and Graydon and the kids came over to Mike's parents house and just played around in the yard. They all had a lot of fun!

Then I headed over to Jana's hotel room to get ready for the open house.  Jana did a great job at doing my hair! When we were done I headed over to the church.  Mike's dad smoked his meat and then they had tons of sides.  The food was really good.  It was fun to mingle and see a lot of Mike's family again and to meet some people from Colorado.  We then cut the cake and took some pictures and just continued to mingle! It was great! After everything was over we cleaned up and went back to Mike's parents house and opened our presents then went to bed! Sunday we woke up went to church and hung out with Mike's family for awhile. It was a nice relaxing day.  It was another short trip to Colorado but it was so fun and everything turned out so great.  Mike's mom and dad really outdid themselves! I am so thankful they were wiling to do all of that and it turned out great!
